Salas Sv. Jāņa evaņģēliski luteriskā baznīca celta laika posmā no 1869. līdz 1870. gadam pēc ievērojamā arhitekta J. D. Felsko projekta.
Baznīcas plānojums ir līdzīgs citām J.D. Felsko projektētajām baznīcām. Dievnamā atrodas 1871. gadā darināta J. Dēringa altārglezna "Jēzus pie krusta". 1979. gadā glezna tika nozagta, taču vēlāk darbu atrada un restaurēja. Sv. Jāņa baznīcai pieder viens no vecākajiem un skaistākajiem Svētā Vakarēdiena kausiem. Dievkalpojumi baznīcā notiek katru svētdienu plkst. 13:00.
